Zabriskie Point Sunset

Right now this is a hiking path into the valley below Zabriskie Point, but it sure looks like this path is formed by water rushing down during the rainy season. The sun is almost setting. The mountains are already covered with blue haze and it might be a good idea not to hike much further.

Sunset at the Dunes

The play between sunlight and shadow becomes very obvious at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley, California. One can even see the sand flying in the air and on top of the dune. Shooting directly into the sun is usually not so rewarding, but with the dusty sky this one came out fine.

Oceanside Sunset

The Oceanside Beach is amazingly empty at this time of day. The Pacific is calm, no wind at all, no noise, just a few seagulls in the distance. What a wonderful evening!

Calm Pacific Ocean
