Easy Living

What caught my attention on this busy morning at the Davis Island Yacht Club in Tampa were those fantastic clouds and their reflections in the water. It gave the scenery a special dynamic. The yachts in the distance are very pretty too of course.

Oceanside Beach Sunset

Most of the sunsets in Southern California look like this: a beautiful blue sky, a few little clouds, and a brilliantly bright sun. This is in Oceanside, which is about an hour North of San Diego. Behind this beach is a gorgeous little harbor with RV parking and camping.

Sunset Oceanside 3

The sun shining through the bike stand attracted my attention. The rays curl directly around it. In the distance some people made a little fire. The beach is amazingly empty and the Pacific is calm. What a wonderful evening!

Sunset at Oceanside

This scene reminded me of the "Calm behind the Storm". During the day the beach is crowded and the playground is constantly occupied by happy little children. But now it's quiet, even the huge Pacific Ocean is taking time out. Oceanside is an hour North of San Diego in California along the famous Hwy 1 and Interstate 5.

Sunny Morning at the Pier

It's just after 7:00 o'clock in the morning and there are already several surfers in the water. This is at Oceanside Pier in California. Oceanside is a city between Fort Pendleton and Carlsbad along the Interstate 5 corridor. Oceanside has been building up tremendously during the last few years. It's getting pretty around here.

Quiet Oceanside Harbor

Too early for the humans to come outside of their beautiful yachts. Well, they are on the shady side over there. The seagulls make a lot of noise. I guess they are already waiting for some fisher boats to come home early in the morning with the catch. The seagulls enjoy the commotion and they always get some treats.

Oceanside Beach

Oceanside Beach is another one of those typical wide California beaches. You never run out of space and it's never crowded. You can walk for miles or sometimes drive with your car. There are fire rings, a life guard station, a boat and a plane in the distance. And a surfer and seagulls on the left. The shadows are from large port buildings behind me. What a great time to watch the sunset.

Oceanside Pier

The favorite place for everyone who likes to be close to the water. Some are swimming or surfing among the pelicans, others are trying to catch some fish, while most of us only come by to enjoy the view and the happy mood at the beach. Oceanside Pier is about 1 hour North of San Diego, California.

Yogananda's Mansion

The Mansion is built on top of the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Paramahansa Yogananda was an Indian monk, yogi and guru who introduced millions to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga. He lived from 1893 to 1952, the last 32 years in America.
