Anza Borrego State Park

Anza Borrego Desert

Amazing view from the Montezuma Valley Road into the Anza Borrego Valley and Borrego Springs which is a cute desert town with several resorts, a little airport and a wonderful RV Resort with golf.

Arrival in Sedona

Lake Murray, California

This lake in La Mesa, California is a wonderful place for boating and jogging or just hiking. We went there often with our little Yorkie. He loved the grass and the water after spending weeks and weeks with us in the desert and the mountains.

Mt. Laguna, California

This Lodge is located on the Sunrise Hwy in Mt Laguna, CA. Mt. Laguna is a lovely little town on top of this mountain. North of here is Julian, also a great little town famous for its homemade apple and cherrie pies. Behind this Lodge runs the Pacific Crest Trail which spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington.

Mount Palomar, CA

Driving up to Palomar Mountain, which is 6,126 feet high, one can see the white top of the Palomar Observatory. It lies about 40 miles northeast of San Diego. The Palomar Observatory (operated by the California Institute of Technology), is famous for three telescopes, one being the Hale Telescope. They offer great tours and an amazing view towards the Pacific Ocean.

Oakzanita Springs, CA

There was still snow on the ground on January 30th at the Oakzanita Springs RV Campground on Hwy 79. And it was cold at that afternoon. What you can see in the distance is the Salton Sea in the valley between I-10 and I-8 in Southern California.

Sunrise Highway

On the way up to Mt. Laguna in Southern California, it was very cold and extremely windy. Mt. Laguna is a lovely little town on top of a mountain. North of here is Julian, also a great little town famous for its homemade apple and cherrie pies. Actually I was ready for a hot cup of coffee.

Is Dinner Ready?

Neighbor's cat is checking out the situation. She is very well behaved and thankful for every little bit of attention and love. We just love animals. Sometimes a young grey cat comes to visit, his name is Salomon. He loves to cuddle. And then there is Max, the stray black cat who comes daily to feed and drink and leaves. No touching! He is very shy.

Foggy Morning in Oregon

The cliffs at McPhillips Beach in Pacific City were dark and dominant, while the mountains in the background were still covered in fog. The Pacific Ocean was amazingly calm and had a brilliant light green-blue color.

Nature's Beauty

On our way up the Pacific Coast from San Diego to La Jolla we found this beautiful Adobe Building with lots of cacti and succulents. With a fantastic view onto the cliff and the Pacific Ocean. I have never seen a cactus with such long arms. And what the other plants are, I have no idea. But they are very beautiful. This is part of the most exquisite coastlines in the South.
